Beaver Creek Reserve

The Beaver Creek Reserve, located in Fall Creek, has more than 400 acres of "upland woods, river bottom forests, wetlands, and savannah areas". This beautiful natural area also has a nature center, citizen science center, butterfly house, observatory, youth camp, obstacle course, maple sugar shack, nature store, field research station, and charter science school. With events and activties going year round: bird watching, hiking, archery, skiing, star gazing, butterfly counting, camping and many more, the Beaver Creek Reserve is truly a wildlife treasure worth visiting.

This Sunday, May 20th from 1PM-4PM, is the Bluebird Festival held at the Hickory Hills Golf Course. Enjoy a hike on a Bluebird trail and then get your own Bluebird Birdhouse.  Proceeds will help Beaver Creek Preserver continue it's work on the Bluebird Resoration Project.  See the event poster Bluebird Festival at Hickory Hills
