Eat Great Food to Support the United Way

Music and Food will fill the air this weekend!  It's Taste of the Valley to benefit the United Way of the Greater Chippewa Valley at Phoenix Park in Eau Claire.

Saturday June 2nd is a free concert by LoCash Cowboys. Gates open at 4:30PM. You must have a ticket to attend the concert - you can pick up tickets at County Jam, the Leader-Telegram and the Livery.  See the event flyer here 

Then Sunday June 3rd is the Taste of Valley from 11AM to 5:30PM. Over 50 foods from local restaurants and vendors for you to try.  Lots of great music all day, and a kids entertainment area too.  Shuttle buses will be running from downtown for this event. Big Brew

The Chippewa Valley Better Brewers will host the Big Brew Saturday May 5th from 9AM-Noon at Phoenix Park, joining in with the opening of the Downtown Eau Claire Farmer's Market. Learn from local home brewers how to make beers, wine, cider, soda and mead, and have a taste of some homemade ginger ale.

SpringFest

Family fun Friday April 27th to Sunday April 29th at the 2nd Annual SpringFest will be at the Northern Wisconsin State Fairground in Chippewa Falls.

Friday includes a Fish Fry from 5PM-8PM.  Saturday begins with the SpringFest 3 mile run and 2 mile walk through Irvine Park registration form at 11AM and a Kids Fun Run at 1:30PM.  Sunday come see the Car Show Noon-4PM.  All three days include music from great bands including Little Willie and The Twerps and Madison County, plus lots of great food and vendor booths. For the kids games, pony rides, a petting zoo and inflatables.

Music, Dance and Comedy

Head out for fun - here are some upcoming performances!

Saturday see Eau Claire's shortest parade at 6:15  in front of the Acoustic Cafe at the 6th Annual St Patrick Day Fundraiser, then enjoy a perfomance of the Shillelagh Lads and Eau Claire Irish Dance.  Free will donations accepted to support WHYS. Get more info here whysradio.org/

Just in case you won't be in the woods this weekend for the opening of Whitetail Deer Gun Season, or maybe if you're taking a break from the cold, here are a few fun thing to do in Eau Claire.

Down to Earth Garden Center is having Deer Hunters Widow’s Weekend  November 19th and 20th with classes going on all weekend, free Hors d’oeuvres and samples, plus great specials on all Christmas items. 

The Annual Water Street Block Party is November 17th-19th with lots of shopping, food, and fun.

Or head to the Holidaze Arts Festival November 18th and 19th at the Ramada Convention Center. See quality fine art and crafts from over 100 exhibitors  Friday from 3PM to 9PM or Saturday from 9AM to 4PM.

Family Fun Weekend Events

Spend time enjoying events with the kids this weekend!

Friday May 13th is the Second Annual Fairytale Ball 6PM to 9PM at the Florian Gardens. Come dressed as your favorite fairy tale character and enjoy games, carriage rides, magic and more. Tickets are $18/Adults $8/Children $50/family of four ($5 additional child). Proceeds go to the Theatre Guild's Theatre Education classes.

Then don't miss the Doll and Pet Parade on Water Street Saturday May 14th. Registration will start at 11AM at the Holiday Gas Station. Parade will begin at 1PM. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

Head the Ramada Convention Center on Barstow Street Thursday November 11th for "LOL in the Valley", a night of comedy featuring comedians from the area. Doors open at 6PM, show starts at 7:30PM. Be ready to laugh!

Halloween Haunting

If you dare, you can visit "the Asylum", the haunted house at the Eau Claire Expo Center. Open October 15th and 16th, October 21st to 23rd, and October 28th to 31st, admission is $7 or $6 with a food pantry item.
